What is a Master Key?

So, what is a Master Key? What about a Master Key System? Why do we need to have a Master Key Experience, and what does that even mean? 

In my book, Quest for the Enlightened Pilgrim, my hero Lucy explores the Master Key System. She integrates it with her walk on the Camino de Santiago and learns a lot about herself in the process.

WHAT IS A MASTER KEY? 

According to my computer’s definition, a Master Key is: 

Master keying refers to a mechanical locking system used throughout a building whereby one key can access multiple locks. This system, also known as a master key system (in reference to the master key which accesses all locks), is used to provide or limit access to different locked areas within a building or complex. Computer definitions 

Well, that sounds useful. One key to open all the locks. 

WHAT IS THE MASTER KEY SYSTEM?

Then I looked up Master Key System in Wikipedia: 

The Master Key System is a personal development book by Charles F. Haanel (1866–1949) that was originally published as a 24-week correspondence course in 1912, and then in book form in 1916. The ideas it describes and explains come mostly from New Thought philosophy. 

The book describes many New Thought beliefs such as the law of attraction, creative visualization, and man's unity with God, and teaches the importance of truth, harmonious thinking and the ability to concentrate. I have been studying the Master Key System by Charles Haanel for over seven years now, and I love how it has opened my mind to the possibility that I can control my outcomes by controlling my thoughts. As Haanel teaches us, thought is cause and conditions are effects.
