How the Master Key Experience Helped Me to Write by Book

Yes, the Master Key Experience helped me to write my book.

Mark Januszewski, founder of the Master Key Experience (MKE) had this advice: first, get a big bottle of superglue, apply liberally to your chair, sit down in front of the computer, and keep writing.

I didn’t quite do that, but I did commit to daily action toward my goal of writing a novel. Little by little, the book came together. As with much of my life, I fit my goals into the nooks and crannies of available time, alongside work, family, and various activities. But I did keep moving forward.

Now my book is written, I am planning my launch - more on that later.

The Vision Workshop

Like the Master Key Experience, Quest for the Enlightened Pilgrim is based on the Master Key System by Charles Haanel.

One of the most valuable exercises coming out of the Master Key Experience is something called the Vision Workshop. During this four-hour workshop (and it is work by the way—with YOU doing the work) I gained a great deal of clarity about my true purpose in life.

A series of exercises helped me to drill down to what is most important to me. At the end, I was rewarded with a two-word description of myself.

This workshop is being held in early September for FREE as a standalone event (not part of the MKE). If you want to learn more about it click here. (Sorry if you are reading this later)

My Two Word Description

Are you wondering what my two words are? Thanks for asking😊

I am a Creative Explorer. My creativity comes in the form of words. I like to write blog posts, I truly enjoyed writing my novel and creating a Camino journal. Other outlets for creativity include photo books, spreadsheets (yes, they can be creative too), and maybe a little knitting (like my Camino mascot, Diego).

I think by now you know that I am an explorer. I have walked on pilgrimage routes in Europe three separate times. I have also travelled to other places in the world – either with my husband Greg or on my own.

However, that is not the only exploration I enjoy. I love to explore the inner world. Many years ago, I was encouraged to start the practice of Constant And Neverending Improvement (CANI). I learned a lot through personal development. But when I found the Master Key Experience it was like all the pieces of personal development coming together, clicking into place.

How the Two Words Fit

There are some other pieces of the MKE puzzle that I have explored, and some other words that help to define me and my purpose.

We also learned about Personality Styles, ‘colours’ using the Color Code® methodology. My colour is ‘White’ and my core motive is ‘Peace.’

We discovered our Personal Pivotal Needs, and from the seven offered, I chose ‘Liberty’ and ‘Creativity.’

Then finally, I explored my One Thing, or my Purpose. For me, that is to Inspire. I want to inspire others to stretch their comfort zones, to reach for more.

When I take all these components together, I find that they are all in harmony. This gave me clarity around my goals, especially the goal of writing a book.

So, I kept writing and didn’t need the super glue after all.
