I was so excited and honoured to appear on My Camino - the Podcast with Dan Mullins. Dan is a talented musician and Camino celebrity based in Sydney, Australia. Here is a link to his website.
I have been listening to his podcast for years. During the pandemic, hearing Dan's voice took me back to the Camino every week, with a compelling interview and Camino stories.
Now it was my turn to be interviewed, and I was nervous! Dan is so kind and reassuring, but I did feel that I could have answered some of his questions better.
You can listen to the interview on your favourite podcast platform, and then read below to a few things I would have said, given some more time to think, lol.
We speak of the albergue I volunteered in this spring, but I don't think that I mentioned the name of the place. It is Refugio Gaucelmo in Rabanal del Camino on the Camino Frances. Read more about that HERE.
Dan asked me about The Wanderlust Chronicles. I was listing the upcoming versions of the series, but couldn't remember all three that are in the works. They are:
✨ Expats: Living the Dream
✨ Backpackers’ Odyssey
✨ Retreats & Renewals
Learn more HERE. Maybe YOU have a story to share!
When Dan asked me what the first step towards planning to walk a Camino could be, I suggested talking to people who have done the walk, such as the local Canadian Company of Pilgrims (Canada).
Another great idea is to listen to more of Dan's podcasts. There are also Camino Facebook groups, Camino YouTube channels, and the Camino Forum. Not to mention many books, guidebooks, and blogs.
My goal is to inspire people to try new things, to expand their comfort zone, and to step into their own story of adventure. In my podcast interview, I believe I said that if I can write a book, so can you!
That goes for whatever you are thinking about doing. If you have a thought to do something, take the first step today!
