How are Those Book Babies Coming Along?

People have been asking me when my book will be released. In other words, how are those Book Babies coming along? Now that I have finished walking, I have been working toward publishing! Here is an update:

Trip Journal – Capture Every Moment Walking the Camino 

Just now I am waiting for the novel to be published, so I can do a book launch together with the trip journal. However, I am pleased to report that I field-tested the journal this spring and really enjoyed using it. I hadn’t journalled consistently on my other Camino journeys, but this time I did. Even during the time that I was volunteering at the albergue.  

I also noticed more pilgrims writing in journals, using pen and paper to record their thoughts. I was impressed. Even in this digital era, using a pen and paper seems to connect to your inner voice better than using your phone. At least that was my experience. 

I recorded my journey on the Find Penguins app as well, so you can check that out if you like. 

Quest for the Enlightened Pilgrim – Walking the Camino 

My novel is going through final editing and formatting now – exciting! Of course, everything takes longer than you expect, but I hope to be able to share a launch date with you soon!  

Getting close now!

I have learned a lot while writing, editing, receiving feedback, editing some more, making decisions about graphics and more. And I am pretty sure I have a lot more to learn; particularly about marketing the book. Stay tuned for more on that! I will be asking for your help (purchasing, sharing, reviewing)!  

Wanderlust Chronicles 

As this is a compilation of stories from different authors, I don’t have much control over when this is released, but I expect that it will also launch in the next few weeks. 

I am excited about this book. All the stories are personal accounts of the transformative power of travel. My own story is about my experience on the Camino de Santiago (of course), but the other authors will have different travel stories to share. This book includes photos, so it will be extra special!
